AMET, Inc., is a progressive manufacturing company in Rexburg, ID with over 30 yrs experience developing, producing & supporting Advanced Automated Welding Systems.

Since 1989, AMET inc. has been an innovator of providing customers advanced, fully integrated systems with precision controls, process equipment & weld fixtures to achieve their most demanding welding requirements and project demands. We have installed systems internationally in the Nuclear, Aircraft, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Wind Tower, Heavy Industry and General Manufacturing Industries.

We are currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Regional Salesperson for our Automated Welding Systems. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing new territory customers while continuing to foster and maintain existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Travel to and communicate with customers to understand their needs, to provide a real and practical solution
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • The ability to effectively demonstrate equipment, present proposals, and further discussion to aid in the customer making the best solution decision
  • Preparing & overseeing quotations, product documentation, product pricing & contract negotiations in a timely manner
  • Gathering all necessary information and defining feasibility of projects & profitability
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately against deadlines; strong negotiation abilities; self-starter; must pay attention to detail.
  • Compiling supporting information for quotes into a presentable document for customers
  • Work with inside sales team, engineering and other support staff to ensure good teamwork to meet customer requirements.
  • Effective writing skills, providing a high level of technical detail to ensure all orders are accurate to the customer’s expectations
  • Maintaining sales cost and communicating with customers
  • Secures long term relationship by negotiating product supply agreements

Minimum requirements:

  • 3+ Years of Experience of contract negotiations and/or technical writing. If the applicant does not have sales experience, they must have high familiarity and knowledgeable of welding equipment
  • Knowledge of business based PC based computers, Mac experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present presentations to both small and large groups

Preferred Technical Skills/Education:

  • Technical experience using a variety of welding equipment & procedures or electronics
  • Experience with GMAW, SMAW and GTAW are desired
  • CWI certification is desired
  • Familiarity with automated welding system operation is highly desired
  • Formal welding training
